Progress... YEAH!

Well, we've done it. The tentative itinerary has been hammered out just far enough to make it a (semi-)final itinerary! We've made the lists, identified B&Bs that go with our stopping points and emailed them to see if they're available. Keep your fingers crossed. One unavailability can probably be dealt with. A lot will mean the itinerary goes back to the drawing board. I expect to hear from many of the places in the next day or so. Surely they'll check that email daily!

Ok... so the graphic says, "St. Patrick's Day" and it's not really St. Patrick's Day... but March 17th is included in this itinerary, so I thought I'd include it. What the heck!

So... here's the itinerary as of today:
Thursday, 3/9: Depart Indy for Chicago; Depart Chicago for Dublin; Overnight on board
Friday, 3/10: Arrive Dublin for three days; Overnighting at Clontarf Castle
Saturday, 3/11 and Sunday, 3/12: See the sights in and around Dublin
Monday, 3/13: Depart Dublin; Head north and visit Newgrange, Monasterboice, then head west toward Mullingar, visiting Fore Abbey; Overnight in Mullingar
Tuesday, 3/14: Depart Mullingar, heading south visiting Belvedere House, Rock of Dunamase, through Kilkenny, visiting Jerpoint Abbey; Overnighting in Carrick-on-Suir (near Waterford)
Wednesday, 3/15: Head west, toward Tipperary, visiting Clonmel, Cahir and Tipperary, circling back through Cashel and visiting the Rock of Cashel, going back west toward Waterford; visit Waterford; Overnighting again in Carrick-on-Suir
Thursday, 3/16: Depart Carrick-on-Suir heading west along the coastal road along the Celtic Sea; visit Ardmore, Cork and Cobh, Kinsale, Timoleauge Abbey; Overnighting in Clonikilty
Friday, 3/17: Depart Clonikilty, heading west along the coastal road, visiting Skibbereen, Glengariff, Kenmare and driving a fraction of the Ring of Kerry; Overnighting in Killarney (With a little St. Patrick's Day celebrating thrown in for good measure!)
Saturday, 3/18: The Ring of Kerry; Overnighting again in Killarney
Sunday, 3/19: Depart Killarney, heading northeast, visiting Abbeyfeale, Limerick, dough Derg, the Slieve Mountains and Clocmacnoise; Overnighting in Cloghan.
Monday, 3/20: Depart Cloghan, heading north toward Sligo, visiting Lough Ree, Roscommon, Boyle; Overnighting in Sligo
Tuesday, 3/21: Visiting in and around Sligo; heading northeast to Donegal and back to Sligo; Overnighting again in Sligo
Wednesday, 3/22: Depart Sligo along the Atlantic Ocean road, heading west, visiting Ceide Fields, Ballina, then south toward Westport, Connemara National Park and Cong Abbey; Overnighting in Oughterard
Thursday, 3/23: Depart Oughterard heading southeast through Galway then southwest through Ballyvaughan, Lisdoonvarna, Doolin and visiting the (magnificent) Cliffs of Moher; Overnighting in Limerick
Friday, 3/24: Depart Limerick for Shannon Airport and head back toward Chicago and then Indy and then (maybe) HOME!

Whew.... Wonder how true that will all be!
